THE HAY FESTIVAL

The Hay Festival in Hay-on-Wye is a vibrant celebration of literature, ideas, and culture. Nestled in the picturesque Welsh countryside, this renowned gathering attracts both avid readers and acclaimed authors from around the globe. Year after year, the festival offers a diverse program of events, including thought-provoking lectures, lively panel discussions, and intimate book signings. The charming town of Hay-on-Wye, with its quaint bookshops and cozy cafes, serves as the perfect backdrop for this literary extravaganza. Whether you're an enthusiastic bibliophile or simply seeking inspiration, the Hay Festival is an unmissable experience that ignites a love for words and fosters a deep sense of community among attendees.

How the Light Get's In is a newer festival that takes place concurrently over the late May Bank Holiday weekend. With a focus on philosophy and ideas, it has a varied programme and always includes music and comedy alongside debates and discussions!

Sycamore House is a 12-minute walk from the main Hay Festival site, and a 2-minute walk from the How the Light Get's In site.

The Hay Festival Winter Weekend (run by the main festival organisers) takes places each year at the end of November at venues across the town.

Tickets for all events are available in advance online.
